(Eagle News) — Nearly 1,000 passengers on Monday, June 11, were stranded in various ports in Bicol and the Western Visayas due to heavy rains because of the southwest monsoon.
This was even after typhoon “Domeng” already left the country on Sunday.
There were 964 passengers bound for Camarines Sur and Aklan stranded Monday morning.
Over 00, or 889 passengers, were listed as stranded at the Caticlan Jeti port, while 75 passengers were stranded in Pasacao.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is also closely monitoring the weather situation all over the country, and is on alert for possible deployment of personnel in flood-prone areas.
