Transport group Alliance of Concerned Transport Organizations or ACTO proposed a lower minimum fare in public utility jeepneys. From the current minimum fare of Php 7.50, ACTO wants the minimum fare to be lowered to Php 7.00 for the first four kilometers. Said proposal came in the wake of the continued lowering of oil prices in the world market.
