(Eagle News) — Expelled Iglesia Ni Cristo member Lowell Menorca II is facing a complaint for adultery filed by the husband of his paramour before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
The complainant, Davis Flores, filed the case on Friday, as he revealed details of the alleged adulterous relationship of Menorca with his wife Aedtnavye Juntilla Lazo, with whom he is already estranged, from 2008 to 2015. He said the two have incriminating photos on Facebook.
Flores also noted in his complaint the blogsites where some of the details of their trysts have been even placed. One blogsite was entitled “d_owner_of_ajs_heart” (http://downerofajsheart.blogspot.com) which was allegedly created by Menorca himself, who used an alias, Eric, according to the complainant.
Flores said he introduced his wife to Menorca in 2008, some two or three months after they were married, “thus, respondent MENORCA is totally aware and knows fully well that respondent LAZO is married to me.”
Flores described Menorca as a long-time acquaintance. In his complaint, he said Menorca used the names “Kal-El” and”Eric” so that he and his wife Aedtnavye could hide their illicit affair.
“In early 2008, the three of us (respondents Menorca, Lazo and myself) had coffee together. At that time, I did not know that there was a brewing relationship between the two respondents,” Flores said in his complaint affidavit.
“As the days and months went by, I noticed that expensive food was delivered to our house, which I did not order. It was the kind of food – such as baby back ribs, sub-sandwiches and salads – that was admittedly out of my financial capacity to pay for,” said Flores.
Flores said he later learned it was Menorca who had been sending food to their house.
Flores also recalled when his wife, Lazo, came home with a large pink stuffed toy which she named “Kal’ el” that was allegedly given to her by Menorca. This stuffed toy is what she used as her “body pillow” whenever she slept in another room, which she often did, recalled Flores. He said Menorca also apparently gave his wife a very expensive cellphone.
The complainant also recalled curious incidents since 2008 that showed the extent of Menorca and his wife’s illicit affair.
In 2008, when his wife Lazo had an accident while riding a tricycle and was confined at New Era General Hospital, Flores said he proceeded immediately to the scene of the accident to ask the tricycle driver and the tricyle operator about it.
Flores said the tricycle driver apparently mistook him for Menorca whom the driver recalled as having driven a sports car to fetch his wife.
“I recall respondent Lazo showing me a text message from respondent Menorca that went something like ‘Do you have a twin sister locked in a tower somewhere?’ My wife replied ‘No.’ Respondent Menorca texted again ‘Davis is lucky to have a princess like you, too bad for me I don’t,’” Flores said in his complaint.
He also recalled several instances when Menorca would show up when he and his wife was playing badminton. He later learned that Menorca and Lazo became “tournament partners” for mixed doubles.
He also recalled that when his wife got hospitalized for abdominal pains, he saw Menorca visit her. He said his wife insisted that he leave to run an errand, but he hid in a corner and saw Menorca arriving at the hospital, driving a sports car.
“During that time and through the years, there were also numerous instances when I would see in our bathroom lots of bath soaps, shampoos, and other toiletries from Manila Diamond Hotel, Bayview Park Hotel, and Sogo Hotel, all located in the City of Manila and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Office,” he said.
The complainant Flores said that until late 2015 Lowell and Aedtnavye continued their affair, which he supposedly discovered through a secret blog allegedly maintained by Menorca “where he proudly documented his adulterous affair with Lazo.”
Flores said that he discovered the blog when he searched the internet out of curiousity.
He said he “googled the name of his wife” Aedtnavye, a name which he said was “out of this world”,and thus discovered an old blog about her written allegedly by Menorca.
“The blog’s name is ‘D_OWNER_OF_AJS_HEART’ and this can be accessed at http://downerofajsheart.blogspot.com. Obviously ‘AJ’ refers to the respondent Lazo and blogger named ‘Eric,’ the supposed owner of AJ’s heart, refers to respondent Menorca,” he said.
Flores said he confronted his wife a few days before her birthday in September last year. He said that it was then that Lazo supposedly admitted the affair with Menorca.
“She tried to be evasive at first but later succumbed to the avalanche of the body of evidence, which, when pieced together, conclusively proves a forbidden affair,” Flores said.
“She was completely shattered and had to finally admit to me that she and respondent Menorca began their illicit affair since 2008 and which continued up to – and obviously after – that confrontation,” Flores said in his complaint affidavit.
“Instead of asking for forgiveness, she deserted our home and lived elsewhere in an apartment reportedly owned or rented by her paramour: respondent Menorca,” he added.
Flores also attached printouts of photos of Menorca and Lazo which he saw on social media on Feb. 9. He said that based on the photos, Menorca and Lazo “could be mistaken for lovers with deep affection for each other.”
Menorca was released on bail last month after being arrested for libel in Manila.
Menorca has accused INC leaders of allegedly detaining him last year at the INC Central compound against his will.
