(Eagle News) — Authorities have only one building to clear of terrorists in Marawi.
This is according to Col. Romeo Brawner, deputy commander of Joint Task Force Ranao, who spoke in a press conference on Sunday.
Earlier, authorities said around 30 terrorists remained holed up in the war-torn city, after the deaths of their leaders Omar Maute and Isnilon Hapilon.
According to Brawner, the children of Hapilon are still believed to be in the war-torn city.
“Yung mga anak niya, hindi na ito bata. Hindi natin sila papayagan na bumuo uli ng grupo (na pwedeng maglunsad ng ibang atake),” Brawner said.
He said battalions would remain in the city even during Marawi’s rehabilitation.
