Aguirre: NBI to release report on Martinez ambush

(Eagle News) –The National Bureau of Investigation is set to come out with a report on their investigation into the ambush of Lalaine Madrigal Martinez, even if the incident was not reported to the police.

Justice Vitaliano Aguirre said the absence of a police report on her ambush in Makati on Friday does not mean that the incident did not take place.

Kita niyo naman, yung sasakyan may tama…Kasi ang pinagbabasehan lang niyo na porke hindi totoo yung ambush ay sapagkat di nareport sa pulis. Illogical kayo e,” he said.

Aguirre said Martinez did not report the incident to the police because she said her house was already near the Santa Ana race track, now called Circuit Makati, where she was attacked.

..At kung siya’y pupunta sa ibang lugar, lalong manganganib ang buhay niya,” he said.

Martinez is the wife of Noel Martinez.

He is one of several high-profile inmates at the New Bilibid Prison who implicated Senator Leila de Lima in the illegal drug trade there during a House of Representatives inquiry last year.

Aguirre  earlier said that the female Martinez and former Senator Jamby Madrigal offered a P100-million bribe to the NBP inmates who testified against De Lima.

The money was supposed to be in exchange for their recantation. With a report from Erwin Temperante
