(Eagle News) — There will be a reshuffle within the ranks of the Philippine National Police prior to the 2019 elections, PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde said.
According to Albayalde, to be relieved are police officials who have relatives running for government posts.
“Pag-aaralan natin lahat. Magkakaroon kami ng meeting at pag-aaralan namin kung sino yung mga dapat tanggalin,” Albayalde said in a radio interview.
He said policemen who would file their certificates of candidacy would be considered resigned from the police force.
The Commission on Elections has set the filing of COCs from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.
