(Eagle News)– Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa vowed to give any information about his son Kerwin’s cohorts in exchange of protection from police.
According to Albuera Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, the elder Espinosa was ready to issue an affidavit if needed.
“Totoong ilalantad niya ang lahat. Handa siyang mag-execute ng affidavit niya kung kinakailangan. Siya mismo voluntarily nagpunta sa akin for custody,” Espenido said.
Espinosa is among the local government officials who was revealed by no other than President Rodrigo Duterte as protectors of narcotic syndicates. His son Kerwin is considered a big-time drug lord in Easter Visayas.
Espinosa’s lawyer, Atty. Rogelio Bato, was recently killed in an ambush in Tacloban together with his rumored girlfriend aged 15 years old.
