(Eagle News)– Police arrested on Wednesday (October 5) Albuera town Mayor Rolando Espinosa for possession of 11.4 kilos of illegal drugs and illegal possession of firearms that were retrieved in his home during a raid in August.
He was taken for processing to Regional Trial Court Branch 14 in Baybay City under Judge Carlos Arguelles, who issued the arrest warrant.
Espinosa underwent a medical examination in Western Leyte Provincial Hospital before he was brought to Leyte Sub Provincial Jail in Baybay City.
Albuera Vice Mayor Rosa Maneses will assume Espinosa’s post within three days.
