MANILA, July 11 – Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar said the United Nations (UN) Arbitration Court decision on the West Philippine Sea will be released in the afternoon of Tuesday, July 12.
In an interview over Radyo ng Bayan on Sunday, he said: “Let us wait for the decision and the Solicitor General will study this, then that’s the time we shall explore our next move.”
Andanar also said President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s executive order (EO) on Freedom of Information is also expected this coming week.
“At hindi lang po yan, meron pa pong mga ibang mga announcements na dapat po nating abangan next week tulad po ng pagpirma ng ating Pangulo ng Freedom of Information executive order at yung mga ibang announcement pa po ng iba’t ibang departamento sa Executive branch (it’s not only that, there are also other announcements that we can look forward to like the President’s signing of the EO on Freedom of Information and other announcements from various departments in the Executive branch,” he said.
Regarding the historic meeting of the President with Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) leader Nur Misuari in Jolo, Andanar indicated that the President has yet to set an exact date for the talks.
But he assured the public that it would indeed take place, just as the talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the National Democratic Front (NDF) will also happen.
On the issue of DU30 vehicle plates, Andanar said “the President has always been for equality, fairness and justice. If you know of any of these violators, please inform the PCO and I will make sure that the President will find out.”
PRRD has repeatedly said that equality and fairness will reign in the country during his term in office, assuring Filipinos that he is President for all not just to a few. (PND)
