Appointive officials campaigning for bets should not receive salary for that day, Comelec’s Guanzon says

(Eagle News) – -For Commission on Elections commissioner Rowena Guanzon, appointive officials who campaign for candidates should not receive their salary for that day.

In a Tweet on Friday, Feb. 22, Guanzon said this was “because it means they were not doing their regular duties.”

The Comelec official, however, did not give names.

The 90-day campaign for over 60 senatorial candidates and 154 party-list groups kicked off on Feb. 12.

It will end on May 11.
