Aquino, Trillanes tagged by Saycon as recipients of Napoles contributions

(Eagle News) — Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III received P90 million in campaign contributions from alleged pork barrel queen Janet Lim Napoles which were not declared in his  Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

This was according to Council for Philippine Affairs (COPA) Secretary, Pastor Saycon who on Wednesday, March 15, presented to the Department of Justice (DOJ) alleged documentary evidences that revealed what he said was the corruption committed by Aquino and 11 other officials from the previous administration.

Saycon also alleged that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was among those who accepted contributions from Napoles but failed to declare these in his SOCE with the COMELEC.

According to Saycon, the signatures are validated and have been authenticated by the experts.

“Up to the top (benefitted). And records will speak. The signatures are authenticated by experts,” said Saycon.

Saycon denied that his action was politically motivated. He said the reason why he turned over the documents was because he felt this was a legal issue that he wanted to settle before he dies.

Saycon said Aquino and the Liberal Party benefited from these contributions made in the 2010 elections, and even up to 2016.

“The Aquino admin continued instead of stopping the corruption,” Saycon explained.

Meanwhile, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II acknowledged receiving the documents but will further study it.
