QUEZON City, Philippines (January 11) – An American poet once said that music is the universal language of mankind. With like two hundred songs stored in my smart phone, not to mention those songs that I have saved through my music app account, who am I to disagree? Listening to music is like hearing the most real thoughts, while singing along with it is like professing your rawest emotions. We cannot deny the fact that music plays a significant role in each and every one of us.
From the moment that you hear that song which perfectly describe your state, plus the fact that it is sung by your favorite singer or band, you’ll surely have this mental note:“Quick! Memorize some lines and Google it!” You will try to remember each beat, melody and harmony. And not content with that, you will also download it and save it to your gadget for the pleasure of listening to it anytime of the day, anywhere you may be.
They say that going to a concert of your favorite singer, whether it’s a duo or trio or a band is like the highest form of practicing your love for music. These are being held in a wide variety and size of settings, from private houses and small clubs, dedicated concert halls, entertainment centers and parks to large multipurpose buildings, and even sports stadiums. Indoor concerts held in the largest venues are sometimes called arena concerts or amphitheatre concerts. We also have this music festival where in multiple performers were contracted to perform in one concert venue and date.
Seeing your favorite singer or musician in a stage which is creatively lit and clad with props which definitely adds hype to the musical performance, it’ll surely give justification to the money that you are willing to spend.
Another reason -as if you need one – to go to a concert is you get to witness the vocal prowess of your favorite artist live. Yes, it is nice to listen to their studio recorded items however, hearing it live with your all senses up, it like knowing not just their music but also the creators of the music better. In addition, the chance of meet and greet is high, there are performers that are actually roaming around the venue before their act starts, especially if you are attending a music festival.
We may hear some people say that going to concerts is just one of the caprices created by the society but if you really are in love with the music that a certain singer or band creates, there’s no sense in refraining yourself from going to see them live. Just be sure that all things that should be considered had been really considered, like if it’s practical or will it ruin your monthly income?
Amidst all the not so good reasons that we hear in attending a concert, a true fan would always have in his mind: “A funny thing about regret is, it’s better to regret something you have done, than to regret something you haven’t done. Most of all: “You cannot put price tags on your experience.”
