UPDATED: At least seven killed after dragon boat sinks off Boracay

(Eagle News)–At least seven were killed after a dragon boat sank off Boracay in Aklan today, Sept. 25.

Authorities identified the fatalities in the  incident in Sitio Lingganay, Brgy. Manoc-manoc past 7:30 a.m. as Mark Vincent Navarete, Omar Arcob, Maricel Tan, Yohan Tan, Richel Montoya, Antonette Supranes and John Vincent Natividad.

They were dead on arrival in the hospital.

Von Navarossa was reportedly rushed to the hospital to undergo treatment.

The Philippine Dragon Boat Federation   said the 21 people, including the victims,  on board the dragon boat were training for an international competition when massive seawater engulfed the vessel and sank it.

The federation has condoled with the victims of the tragedy.Madz Moratillo
