Bato spurns Odicta’s ‘drug lord’ denial

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on Friday disregarded Melvin Odicta’s denial of his drug lord status, who went along with his wife because of “fear for their lives”.

Nag-surrender kuno doon sa Maynila, pero hindi sa akin nag-surrender. Dini-deny na hindi daw siya drug lord,” Bato stressed in his speech.
“Ano siya? Sinong niloloko niya? Kayo? Di ba alam ninyo na siya ang drug lord tapos magdi-deny na hindi siya drug lord? Tell it to the marines!” he added.
Odicta and his wife on Thursday met with Department of Interior and Local Government Ismael “Mike” Sueno due to suspected threats when Odicta’s name was involved in narcotics operations.
Melvin Odicta was identified by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as Iloilo’s “Dragon” and the head of one main drug group in the province.
Gen. Bato dela Rosa was in Bacolod on Thursday, and visited the Region VI Police Office on Friday.
