BBL provisions removed to avoid “sub-state impression”

QUEZON City, Philippines, May 25 (Eagle News) — House Ad-Hoc Committee Chairman Rufus Rodriguez said that several provisions of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) were removed because they gave the impression that a “sub-state” is being established. Included in the revised provisions is the preamble. Also the name of the law has been change from BBL to Basic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
