MANILA, Philippines – In the latest bulletin issued by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, tested shellfish showed negative results for toxin. Because of this, BFAR lifted the red-tide alert affecting the whole country. But the government agency clarified that although it is now safe to eat shellfish, consumers should still ensure that the shellfish they buy is fresh and clean.
