BI: Foreign nationals registered with agency should report in person from January 1 to March 1, 2018

(Eagle News) — The Bureau of Immigration on Tuesday said that all foreign nationals registered with the agency have to report in person from January 1 to March 1 next year.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said this was in compliance with the 1951 Alien Registration Act, which requires them to report to the BI main office in Intramuros, Manila, or in any BI field, satellite or extension office within the first 60 days of every calendar year.

Each foreigner should present his or her ACR I-card  and his confirmation number in making his or her report, if he made his appointment using the bureau’s 2018 annual report online system.

The BI said the parents of  foreigners aged 14 and below should make the report on their behalf.

“For aliens who are not in the Philippines during the annual reporting period, they shall make the report within 30 days from the date of their return to the country, provided they have valid re-entry permits,” Morente said.
