(Eagle News) — The Bureau of Immigration has upheld its deportation order against Catholic nun Patricia Fox.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra made the confirmation on Wednesday, Aug. 29, quoting a report from Immigration Deputy Commissioner Tobias Javier.
In July, the BI ordered Fox’s deportation for what it said was her violation of the terms of her missionary visa when she participated in “partisan political activities” in the country.
For this, the BI referred to several photographs showing the Catholic nun in rallies and other activities in 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
Fox had said her participation in such activities were part of her missionary work.
