The two houses of the Congress set the bicameral meeting regarding the Salary Standardization Law on January 27. Said meeting aims to smooth the passage of the said bill.
House Speaker Sonny Belmonte said that the lawmakers are aware of the need of government employees. The Senate passed its own version of the law wherein retired police and military personnel were included but House Appropriations Committee Chairman Isidro Ungab said that they will study said version.
