QUEZON City, Philippines (November 4)- Former NU Standout and two time UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. was selected by the Texas Legends,as the 25th overall pick in the NBA D-League.
After a good performance at the NBA Summer League averaging 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. Parks, Jr. got the attention of the Dallas Mavericks coaching staff and even the Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
Parks, Jr. is the son of former NBA player and PBA hall of famer import Bobby Ray Parks, Sr. and the second Filipino to be drafted in the NBA D-League after Japeth Aguilar who was selected by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the seventh round in 2012 Draft.
Parks, Jr., is the only home grown Filipino to play in the NBA Summer League and also will become the first Filipino to play in the NBA D-League regular season.
