The final report of the Board of Inquiry (BOI) on Mamasapano incident was finally submitted on March 13 by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Police Director Benjamin Magalong to
The first five sets of the final report, with each set consisting of 120 pages, were submitted by Magalong to Philippine National Police Officer-in-charge (PNP-OIC) Leonardo Espina. The compiled documents were named “The Mamasapano Report.”
Before the turn over to PNP, the final report was signed by Magalong and two other PNP-BOI members, Police Director Catalino Rodriguez and Chief Supt. John Sosito on Monday around 4 in the afternoon.
When asked if they will present to the media for the sake of the public, Magalong said “It will just be a simple turnover of the report to the officer-in-charge. We are also preparing our presentation, once magbigay ng go-signal na i-report sa publiko ay ire-release po namin agad. It is just a matter of having it approved by the officer-in-charge.”
According to Magalong, the other sets of the Mamasapano report will be given to DILG Secretary Mar Roxas, Office of the Senate, House of Representatives, office of the Ombudsman and to the Department of Justice.
He also said that 60 to 70 sets of the final report were will be distributed by the government agency’s investigating body.
Magalong added that they will also give copies of the final report to the kin of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF).
