BOL to address terrorism in Mindanao, says political analyst

(Eagle News) — The Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) could bring peace and lessen the threat of terrorism in Mindanao, according to political analyst Prof. Ramon Casiple.

In an interview over NET 25’s Agila Balita Alas Dose, Casiple said that if BOL is implemented, there will be no more reason for violence and rebellion in Mindanao because there are resources that would then be available to help the Moro people.

Casiple also said that BOL would somehow stem the recruitment of rebels in Mindanao.

“Posible pa ngang maayos pa iyan in the future, given na ang kakausap na sa kanila ay kapwa na nila. Iyong mga tao doon malaki talaga ang paghahangad ng kapayapaan,” Casiple said.

Meanwhile, the ceremonial signing of Bangsamoro Organic Law is set to be held today, August 6.

President Rodrigo Duterte will lead the ceremonial signing at the Malacañang Palace.
