QUEZON CITY (Eagle News)– Brethren from the Iglesia Ni Cristo Locale Congregation of Pasong Tamo, District of Central gathered on Monday (December 26) to celebrate their year-end get-together as the year of 2016 draw to a close.
Before the event started, Brother Benjamin A. Licmuan, the locale Minister led the year-end congregational prayer inside the house of worship. Soon after, brethren headed at the locale compound to join in the celebration of the year-end socializing.
Brothers and sisters were continuously arriving with their families and loved-ones, other brethren came with their visitors and guests who are currently observing and listening to the INC doctrines.
Etch of unfading smiles and laughter echoed in the event because of the happiness they felt through-out the activity. “We are thankful because we were given an opportunity to socialize and bond with our brothers and sisters before the year ends,” Sister Weng Torres said.
One of the highlights in the said activity is the raffle draw where four chosen brethren won love seats as the grand prize for the raffle. The crowd kept on cheering, hoping that their names will be picked to win other prizes and special gifts.
To give color and mood to the activity, some officers from the Christian Family Organization prepared some performances to enliven the crowd. A group of Binhi (brethren whose age are 17 years old and below) presented a dance number, while the other set of performer sang in trio.
After the intermission numbers, the hosts asked the crowd for volunteers to join the games. Teenagers and young at heart, regardless of age jauntily participated in every games and other family-fun activities.
“This activity not only promotes social well-being of every brethren, but it strengthens their faith as well. It also advocates unity and solidarity, especially in adhering to the activities set by the INC Church Administration,” Bro. Licmuan, the Locale Minister stated.
The year-end get-together ended with big smiles as the crowd walk away. Though some were not able to bring home prizes, for them they were already winner because they were lucky to share their time and happiness to their fellow brothers and sisters, and that was priceless.
