(Eagle News)– Officials of the Department of Education (DepEd) formally launched on Monday (May 15) the Brigada Eskwela.
The Brigada Eskwela is an annual program of DepEd which sees teachers, students, parents, and other parties cooperate in preparing public school classrooms for use in the coming school year.
Aside from fixing school amenities, classrooms and school buildings will also be examined to see if these can withstand natural calamities.
Teachers will also undergo training for disaster preparedness as part of the program.
The Brigada Eskwela will end on Friday, May 19.
