(Eagle News) — A businessman linked to the slain Tanauan, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili, who was on President Rodrigo Duterte’s narco-list, was “abducted” in Laguna on Wednesday, April 3, the police said on Thursday, April 4.
According to the authorities, Allan Fajardo and his companion Ricky Atienza were taken from a hotel in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa by a group of men around 8 p.m.
The police are looking for the white van which witnesses have said the two were forced to board.
Fajardo used to lead Halili’s Anti-Crime Group known for arresting and parading drug suspects as part of a shame campaign.
Halili, however, was among those named by President Duterte in public as being engaged in illegal drugs.
He was shot dead while leading a flag-raising ceremony in July last year.
