The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Council (RDRRC) of Region IV-A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) has notified citizens that the CALABARZON Region is now under the Highest Alert Level, especially as Typhoon Ruby is expected to make landfall in the Southern Luzon area on December 9, Tuesday.
Various government and non-government agencies in Cavite are making the necessary preparations for the expected onslaught of Typhoon Ruby.
After an accurate assessment as directed by the Office of Civil Defense, Cavite, Batangas, and Quezon are starting to implement pre-emptive evacuation.
The LTFRB has ordered all RORO buses not to travel meantime for safety purposes.
The Governor of Cavite, Hon. Jonvic Remulla, has declared classes in all public and private pre-school, elementary, and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities, suspended on December 8 and 9 (Monday and Tuesday).
Meanwhile, the Department of Energy assured that there is enough power supply in CALABARZON to maintain the needs of the region.
