BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Reuters) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Argentina on Thursday (November 17) for an official visit that will include meetings with Argentine President Mauricio Macri.
Trudeau was greeted at the Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Buenos Aires, by Argentine Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra.
The Canadian Prime Minister will meet with the Canadian Council for the Americas. He will then lay a wreath at Plaza San Martin.
In the afternoon, Trudeau will meet with his counterpart, Argentine President Mauricio Macri at the Casa Rosada presidential palace.
A state dinner will then be offered by Macri in honor of Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau.
Trudeau traveled to Argentina from Cuba. He will then continue on to Peru for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
