Now on its seventh year, the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is inviting all Japanophiles, amateur singers and dancers to join the 2015 J-Pop Anime Sing and Dance Contest in celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month this coming July.
The contest is open to Filipino nationals of all ages. To join, participants in both categories should select a Japanese song sung by a Japanese artist for their entry and send a filled-up application form, a photo/group photo, a print-out of the song lyrics with the name of the original performing artist/s, a short write-up about the participant/participating group (50-100 words) and a demo CD containing an audio file in MP3 format (for the singing category) or a video file in MPEG format (for the dancing category).
Application forms are available at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library, Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City or can be downloaded at www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp.
There will be ten finalists for the singing category and five finalists for the dancing category. Finalists who pass the screening process will be invited to compete in the Grand Finals to be held onJuly 25, 2015 (Saturday) at the SM Cinema Centerstage, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. Registration ends on May 22, 2015.
The 2015 J-pop Anime Sing and Dance Contest aims to further promote Japanese language and culture appreciation among Filipinos and to strengthen the longstanding friendship between Philippines and Japan.
