Western Iran hit by earthquake of magnitude 6.3 – USGS

Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck western Iran on Monday, near the provincial capital of Dezful, about 300 miles (480 km) from Tehran, the capital, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake, at a depth of 6 miles (10 km), hit at 0232 GMT (22:32 EST). There were no immediate reports of casualties.
