Floods in China kill 19, affects thousands

(Reuters) —  Rescuers evacuated residents in southern China on Sunday (May 25) after flooding caused by heavy rains killed 19 people and affected thousands, state media reported. Chinese state broadcaster CCTV showed footage of rescuers carrying people from flooded homes in Jiangkou County of southwest Guizhou province.
