Fire hits Immigration bureau main office in Intramuros

(Eagle News) — A fire hit  the Bureau of Immigration main office in Manila on Thursday, April 28. According to the bureau, the fire broke out at 1:40 p.m. The bureau said the blaze was caused by a faulty air conditioning unit on the second floor of the building. The fire was declared out at 2:30 p.m. No fatalities nor injured were reported. The bureau said immigration services resumed after the fire was put out.

Customs bureau seizes P31.5 million worth of smuggled health products

Immigration bureau announces transfer of Makati extension office

MRT-3: Shaw Blvd Station Building A entry, exit points closed from March 21 to 22

(Eagle News)–The Shaw Boulevard Station Building A entry and exit points will be closed to the public starting March 21. According to the MRT-3, instead of using the Edsa Shangri-la and Starmall entry and exit points, passengers should use the Greenfield/Parklea entry and exit points for the duration of the temporary closure. The MRT-3 did not give a reason for the temporary closure. The closure, however, it said, will last until March 22.

PNP posts 17 additional COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police has logged 17 additional COVID-19 cases, it said on Friday, March 18. With the additional cases, PNP data showed the total PNP COVID-19 cases were now at 20. Two recoveries pushed the total PNP COVID-19 recoveries to 48705. No additional deaths were reported. MRT-3 announces suspension of operations from April 13 to 17

(Eagle News) — The Metro Rail Transit-3 announced a suspension of operations for five days in April. The MRT-3 said the suspension is scheduled from April 13 to 17. It said the suspension of operations was to pave the way for annual preventive maintenance activities. Normal operations will resume on April 18. Metro Manila is under a COVID-19 alert level 1. The Department of Transportation is now allowing a 100% capacity in public transportation.
