(Eagle News) — Paulyn Ubial’s nomination as health secretary has been rejected by the powerful Commission on Appointments. At least 13 members of the CA voted against her approval. Ubial is the fifth President Rodrigo Duterte Cabinet appointee rejected by the CA. The first was Perfecto Yasay as foreign affairs secretary, followed by Gina Lopez as environment secretary. Also rejected were Judy Taguiwalo as social welfare secretary, and Rafael Mariano as agrarian reform secretary.
