5.0-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology said. The earthquake hit 37 kilometers northwest of Calayan at 6:08 a.m. Depth of focus was at nine kilometers. An intensity II was felt in Laoag; in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte; and in Sinait, Ilocos Sur. Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected.
