MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm “Mario” has slightly weakened while traversing the Babuyan Channel, PAGASA said. More than 2,000 passengers stranded
More than 2, 000 passengers were stranded in the ports of five regions due to the rampage of tropical storm “Mario”. According to the Philippine Coast Guard, a total of 2, 480 passengers were stranded in the ports of NCR, Cebu, Southern Tagalog, Western Visayas and Bicol. A total of 15 vessels, 7 motor boats and 252 rolling cargoes were not allowed to travel.

Man drowns in Caloocan
According to Red Cross, a 23-year old man died in Caloocan where he drowned. The body of the man was found by the Red Cross water search and rescue team . The search and rescue operation of the Red Cross is still ongoing. They deployed rubber boats and amphibious vehicles, especially in Marikina. Red Cross is also serving hot meals in evacuation centers.
