MMDA asks motorists to avoid Gil Puyat Avenue and Roxas Boulevard

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is asking motorists to avoid Gil Puyat Avenue and Roxas Boulevard on May 21-23 for the World Eco Forum on East Asia, which will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC. Two heads of state and more than 600 government and business leaders will from more than 30 countries will attend the said event.

POEA encourages OFWs to take polio vaccines

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration encourages overseas Filipino workers to take polio vaccines due to an outbreak in ten countries according to the World Health Organization. The POEA further added that recruitment agencies and foreign employers should shoulder the cost of the vaccination.

Magnitude 6.3 quake jolts Negros Occidental

MANILA, May 15 (PNA) — A 6.3 magnitude earthquake rocked parts of Negros Occidental on Thursday afternoon , according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS).
