Quezon City Police District Director-Chief Superintendent Richard Albano declared the establishment of 24-hour secuirty checkpoints in various parts of Quezon City in response to the shooting spree that killed five people.

Senate starts hearing regarding EDCA

The Senate will now start its hearing on the newly-signed Enhanced Defense Comprehensive Agreement or EDCA with Senate Defense Committee Chairman Senator Antonio Trillanes IV at its lead. PHL to release two underaged Chinese poachers

Oil firms to roll back fuel prices effective 12 a.m. Tuesday (May 13)

MANILA, Philippines — Various oil firms are set to roll back fuel prices effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (May 13, 2014). The oil firms said they would cut gasoline prices by P0.85 centavos per liter.  Prices of diesel and kerosene will also be cut by P0.55 centavos per liter. The oil firms that will implement the price rollback are the following:  Shell Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Seaoil Philippines, Chevron, Petron Corporation and Total Corporation.
