MMDA To Hire 300 Students For Their “Special Program For The Employment Of Students’

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is accepting applicants for this year’s Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES). Aim of this program is to help students to earn money for their college tuition fees this coming school year 2014-2015. This special progra is supported by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). According to MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, selected students will be assigned to work in different agencies for a month.

Philippines grants visa-free privilege to 7 more countries

MANILA (PNA) — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that effective Tuesday (April 15), nationals of seven additional countries will now enjoy visa-free privilege to enter the Philippines for a period of 30 days. These countries are Belize, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Pacquiao to clear tax issues

According to the camp of WBO Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao, they will clear the boxer’s tax issues once they’ve returned to the country. According to Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares, Pacquiao now owes the government 2.6 billion pesos.
