MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman found senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., liable for plunder, saying they took “undue advantage of their official position” in the use of their pork barrel funds. Shell, Petron hike oil prices for gas, diesel and kerosene

Shell Philippines and Petron Corporation hiked prices of their oil products effective 6 a.m. today. The two oil giants increased prices of kerosene and diesel by 50 centavos per liter while they also hiked 10 centavos per liter on prices of gasoline. Jeepney fare to remain at 8 pesos

After the threat of Alliance of Concerned Transport Organizations that they will charged an additional 50 centavos today without the permit of the Land Transportation and Franchising Board, ACTO President Efren De Luna said that the group agreed to not continue the threat and to just wait for their petition raising the jeepney fare to 10 pesos.

Napoles may be admitted to ‘Ospital ng Makati’ today

After Judge Elmo Alameda of the Makati Regional Trial Court gave his permission, Janet Lim Napoles may now be admitted to the Ospital ng Makati for her operation. She is suffering from a lump in her uterus as well as bleeding. Her counsel emphasized that the government will not pay for Napoles’ treatment.
