Makati City Regional Trial Court Judge Elmo Alameda says Janet Lim Napoles should be confined in a government hospital and not at the St. Luke’s Medical Center, after Napoles’ personal and emotional appeal that she be allowed to undergo hospitalization and surgery due to a suspected myoma.
The alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam, Janet Lim Napoles, was rushed to a government hospital in Makati after complaining of severe pain in her stomach. She asked Judge Elmo Alameda to allow her to be confined at the St. Lukes Hospital for the removal of her myoma. The Supreme Court summons an employee tagged as “Ma’am Arlene” which is allegedly influential in the judiciary. The high court, particularly the ad hoc committee headed by Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, has issued the summons to Arlene Angeles Lerma in her last known address. But the Bureau of Immigration said that a certain Arlene Angeles Lerma has already left the country for Singapore in October last year.
A suspected extortionist was arrested and faces multiple charges. The suspect is identified as Mark Ryan Sumulong who posed as a secretary at the Office of the President for Special Concerns. He reportedly asked for large sums of money from his victims in exchange for juicy positions in government. But the suspect, upon further investigation, is not at all connected with the Office of the President, nor is he an employee of Malacanang.
