Scam in the judiciary undergoes investigation

The Supreme Court summons an employee tagged as “Ma’am Arlene” which is allegedly influential in the judiciary.  The high court, particularly the ad hoc committee headed by Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, has issued the summons to Arlene Angeles Lerma in her last known address.  But the Bureau of Immigration said that a certain Arlene Angeles Lerma has already left the country for Singapore in October last year.

Extortion suspect, arrested

A suspected extortionist was arrested and faces multiple charges.  The suspect is identified as Mark Ryan Sumulong who posed as a secretary at the Office of the President for Special Concerns.    He reportedly asked for large sums of money from his victims in exchange for juicy positions in government.   But the suspect, upon further investigation, is not at all connected with the Office of the President, nor is he an employee of Malacanang.

Gov’t to launch FAITH version 2.0 to ensure transparency of donations for Yolanda victims

MANILA, March 21 (PNA) — The government will launch the Foreign Aid Transparency Hub (FAiTH) Version 2.0 next month to ensure greater transparency and accountability in the handling of donations being extended by foreign donors to devastated communities in the Visayas region.
