LGUs Get New Fire Trucks
Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas says seventy-six new firetrucks are set to be distributed to various provinces in time for the start of the fire prevention month. Twenty-two of the 76 firetrucks were already distributed.
Seaoil to Roll Back Diesel, Kerosene Prices
Independent oil company, SEAOIL Philippines, is cutting prices of diesel and kerosene by 12:01 Tuesday. The company said that its diesel and kerosene prices will be cut by 30 centavos but the price of gasoline will remain unchanged. There is no immediate word from other oil companies regarding price adjustments.
Skyway is Still Safe
Skyway Traffic Management and Security Department Head Ret. Gen. Louie Maralit said that the Skyway remains safe even though there were many incidents of vehicles falling from the said structure. He added that the height of the traffic barrier on the sides of the Skyway is according to international standards and that drivers and motorists should always be careful and follow traffic rules.
