Terminal 3 to experience power outage on Aug. 8 and 9 due to maintenance work: NAIA

NAIA says flight operations won’t be affected (Eagle News) — Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will experience a four-hour power supply interruption on August 8 and 9. Former Interior Undersecretary Martin Diño passes away

  (Eagle News)–Former Interior Undersecretary Martin Diño has passed away. His daughter Liza made the announcement on Facebook. She said her father died at 2:15 a.m. on August 8 surrounded by his family. In July, Liza announced her father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer the year before. Diño served as DILG undersecretary under then-President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration. He was also the chair of the Violence Against Crime and Corruption.

Pampanga placed under state of calamity

The entire province of Pampanga has been placed under a state of calamity by the Provincial Board, following the endorsement of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), headed by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda. The measure was approved in light of the consequences brought about by the southwest monsoon, which was further intensified by the impacts of typhoons Egay and Falcon.
