(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Wednesday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 11:40 p.m. It had its epicenter 140 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 14 kilometers.

DFA consular office in Legazpi, Albay closed today
(Eagle News)–Operations at the Department of Foreign Affairs’ consular office in Legazpi, Albay are suspended today, Nov. 11. The DFA said this was due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm “Ulysses,” and is in line with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Advisory No. 25 s. 2020 of the City of Legazpi. (Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 11:45 a.m., had its epicenter 17 kilometers southwest of General Luna. It had a depth of 45 kilometers. Instrumental intensity II was recorded in Surigao City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
