(Eagle News) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit Batangas on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 1:25 p.m. It had its epicenter 9 kilometers southwest of Mabini, and a depth of two kilometers. (Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Batangas on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3:23 p.m., had its epicenter 16 kilometers northwest of Mabini. It had a depth of two kilometers. (Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been raised over parts of Mindanao and Luzon. (Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at  7:37 a.m. It had its epicenter 29 kilometers southwest of Itbayat, and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

3 more DFA consular offices suspend ops due to “Quinta” today

(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs  suspended the operations of three more consular offices on Monday, Oct. 26, due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon “Quinta.” The DFA said closed were its offices in San Pablo, Laguna; Lipa, Batangas; and Legazpi, Albay.
