(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, Oct. 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:10 a.m., had its epicenter 47 kilometers southeast of Don Marcelino. It had a depth of 139 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
