MTCC Cavite City, Office of the Clerk of Court physically closed until Oct. 1

3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Sept. 19. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:36 a.m., had its epicenter 40 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 124 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Thunderstorm advisory raised over Bulacan, other areas

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been raised over Bulacan and other areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with possible lightning and strong winds are being experienced in particular in Norzagaray, Pandi, Bustos, Angat. (Eagle News)–Rainfall warnings have been raised over Palawan. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration an orange rainfall warning has been hoisted over the Kalayaan Islands, which means rainfall between 15 millimeters to 30 mm is expected  within one hour. 8 volcanic quakes and steam, sulfur emissions monitored at Kanlaon; alert level 1 stays

(Eagle News)–Eight volcanic earthquakes were felt at Kanlaon in the last 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said a moderate emission of white steam-laden plumes and sulfur dioxide emission were also monitored at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1. Gov’t allows return of LSIs to Western Visayas following IATF resolution

3.8-magnitude quake strikes off Zamboanga del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Zamboanga del Norte on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:32 a.m., had its epicenter 12 kilometers southwest of Baliguian. It had a depth of 41 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
