(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, July 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3 a.m., had its epicenter 157 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 81 kilometers. An instrumental intensity II was recorded in Malungon, Sarangani. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
