4.3-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Monday, June 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 7:30 a.m., had its epicenter 224 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 137 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.9-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur waters

(Eagle News)–A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur waters on Sunday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 10:09 p.m., had its epicenter 64 kilometers northeast of Bayabas. It had a depth of 15 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Sunday, June 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:59 a.m. It had its epicenter 12 kilometers southeast of Surigao City, where an instrumental intensity II was recorded. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.7-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Saturday, June 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:32 p.m., had its epicenter 341 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Taal update: Four quakes, weak steaming monitored; alert level 1 still raised

(Eagle News)–Four earthquakes were monitored at Taal within a 24-hour period, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
