(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 1:10 a.m. advisory that moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers are expected over portions of Davao Oriental (Cateel, Baganga, Caraga), Davao del Norte (Panabo), Davao City, Davao del Sur (Santa Cruz), and North Cotabato (Makilala ). AFP names next Wescom chief

Gov’t orders probe of Maguindanao blast that left two children dead, others hurt

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds  are expected over portions of Davao Oriental (Baganga, Caraga), and in Surigao del Sur (Marihatag, Cagwait, Lingig, Bislig)  within one to two hours. (Eagle News)–Eight volcanic earthquakes were monitored at Taal in 24 hours. 3.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Sunday, May 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:42 a.m., had its epicenter   77 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. It had a depth of 23 km. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude quake hit Davao Oriental on Saturday, May 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 1:19 a.m., had its epicenter 113 kilometers southeast of Manay. It had a depth of 33 kilometers.
