According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:43 a.m. Its epicenter was 15 kilometers southeast of Baganga. The depth of focus was 102 kilometers. (Eagle News) – -A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes early Wednesday, Jan. 19. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:10 a.m. It had its epicenter 53 kilometers northeast of Itbayat. The depth of focus was 187 kilometers. The following intensities  were reported: Intensity III – Itbayat, Batanes No damage to property were reported but aftershocks were expected.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:06 p.m. It had its epicenter 90 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. The depth of focus was 50 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
